How the Custom Photo Resizer Works

Upload or Take a Selfie

Choose a photo from the device or open the front camera on a supported mobile browser.

Enter Required Pixels

Set the width and height shown by the official form. The crop frame follows that ratio.

Set Maximum KB

The tool searches for the highest practical JPEG quality that remains within the limit.

Verify and Download

Check the final dimensions and actual file size before uploading it to the application portal.

Use It for Different Online Forms

Application portals do not all use the same photo specification. One portal may ask for 100 × 120 pixels below 20 KB, while another may request 300 × 400 pixels below 30 KB. This general tool lets you enter the requirement printed on the current form instead of assuming one universal size.

The photo is cropped before it is resized, so the face is not stretched. Compression is then applied to the final JPG. Very small KB limits can reduce detail, especially in photographs with a busy background. A plain background, good light and a properly framed face usually produce a clearer small file.

Check the official instructions: confirm the latest width, height, JPG requirement, maximum KB, background and face-position rules on the application website before uploading. This general tool does not replace the dedicated SSC photo tool or CBSE photo tool.

Privacy and Responsible Use

The crop and compression on this page run in your browser. The selected image is not submitted through a form by this tool. Avoid using photographs without permission, and do not use altered or misleading identity images.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I choose my own aspect ratio?

Yes. The ratio is calculated from the width and height you enter. For example, 300 × 400 creates a 3:4 crop frame.

Will the photo be exactly 30 KB?

Not necessarily. The file will be at or below the selected maximum. Exact file size is not required when a form states a maximum limit.

Why can a very small file look softer?

JPEG must discard more image detail to meet a low KB limit. Use a clean, well-lit source photo and avoid unnecessarily large output dimensions.

Is this tool free?

Yes. It is free to use, requires no registration and does not place a visible watermark on the photo.
